Comfort in the Stars.

There's a set path for just about everything in our solar system. This reliability and consistency is something that many of us crave in our lives, something that for some is a rare feeling that doesn't come often. This is relevant in Trevor Jordan's story. He went to school in Aurora, Colorado, where he was often times bullied and found comfort within the walls of his science class where he'd eat lunch to escape the constant judgement of the others in his school. One day while eating lunch he was looking through a textbook left behind from the last class. He found a list of constellations. As he stumbled through them he found one labeled, "Aquila". This specific constellation stood out because it looked like a paper airplane to him. That figure stuck with him as he went on through the week. For Trevor bulling wasn't always the hardest part of the day. Sometimes he'd go home and feel so out of place and so under appreciated that he didn't know if it was possible to get far enough away. One particular night got to him more than usual, in the midst of his anger and sadness he ran outside and fell to the grass lying there, he felt helpless and relaxed his body and mind, falling back he looked up to the sky and there it was. His perfect glowing paper plane in the sky. He found comfort in this moment, so much so that he continued going out to see the constellation nightly. But it slowly got harder and harder to find at night. He couldn't quit fathom why this was. He started spending more and more time in his science class learning about the stars and their paths. He learned that to track this specific constellation he would have to look slightly more west each night. As the stars would shift as the year went on and soon it wouldn't be visible to him at all. This discovery was so fascinating to him that his curiosity grew. Discovering that at the North and South polls you are able to see every constellation every night for it rotates directly above you. Trevor's curiosity grew into a passion that became a job. For some people what we crave in life can be found in the stars. Though this story is simply a fictional tale with a fictional boy, the facts hold true, as does the night sky.
